Connect & Communicate
Connect and Communicate is The Ear Foundation's Family Programme which enables parents and carers to learn alongside their deaf children. There are a wide range of activities which should appeal to the whole age range, including adults and teenagers:
- Baby mornings: Sessions for parents and their babies around music, playing and communication.
- Ready Steady Go groups: Sessions with you and your pre-schooler around communication, music and listening skills.

- Special Branch: Music sessions for children with cochlear implants and additional & complex needs, and their families.
- SPECIAL ISSUE DAYS: One-day events for parents, with fun activities for the children. Topics include:
- Preparing for primary school
- Preparing for secondary school
- Managing behaviour
- Leaping on with language (supporting your primary-aged child's language development)
- Ready Steady Go (helping your pre-school child to listen and communicate) - Teenz United: Saturday sessions for deaf teenagers with cochlear implants.
- Adult Days: Groups for adults with cochlear implants.
- Sound Advice: Advice sessions with professionals focussing on your implanted child's needs and progress.
