Prof. Ferdinando Grandori

Ferdinando Grandori is Director of the Institute of Biomedical Engineering (Italian National Research Council), Milan, Italy. He holds faculty appointments at the Polytechnic of Milan (Biomedical Engineering).
Dr. Grandori has worked for years in the field of otoacoustic emissions, methods of response analysis and interpretation, and in the area of newborn hearing screening. He promoted the European Consensus Development Conference on Neonatal Hearing Screening (May 1998), the NHS 2000, 2002 and NHS 2004. Dr. Grandori served as project leader of a number of multi-year international projects financed by the European Commission in Brussels (Biomedicine and Health Program) on the use of otoacoustic emissions and on newborn hearing screening.
Ferdi Grandori is presently serving as Chair of the non-profit association ARSI (Associazione per la Ricerca sulla Sordità Infantile - ONLUS).
