J.Radová studied mathematics at the Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. She has two adult sons. One of them is deaf (when he was six and a half years old) after meningitis and he received a Cochlear Implant devise 12 years ago.
She is member of the board of Foundation Broken Silence working for hearing impaired children with cochlear implants and also a member of the Association of Cochlear Implant Users in Czech Republic. This organisation brings together the parents of children with cochlear implants, adults with cochlear implants and other people interested in this field.
She regularly takes part at the annual assemblies organized by the European Association of Cochlear Implant Users (EURO-CIU)
