Brian has been involved with The Ear Foundation since it was formed in 1989 - firstly as Honorary Treasurer and then as a Trustee. In January 2001, following 35 years with Lloyds TSB Bank, he was appointed Chief Executive of The Ear Foundation, at which stage he tendered his resignation as a Trustee.

He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, an Associate of the Institute of Financial Accountants and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Management.
