Profession: head of division of the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg; honorary professorship at the German University for Administrative Sciences in Speyer/Germany and University of Trier/Germany for Management Sciences.

Since its foundation, President of the German League for persons with hearing disabilities as well as the European Association of Cochlear Implant Users EURO-CIU.

EURO-CIU is an umbrella NGO with national member associations of 18 European Countries, founded in 1995. Its aim is to defend and represent the interests of deaf persons using a Cochlear Implant device. EURO-CIU is a full Member of the European Disability Forum in Brussels and organises every two years an international symposium. The symposium 2005 will be held in Antalya/Turkey.
