Gwen Carr is Deputy C.E.O and Director of UK Services for the National Deaf Children's Society, where she is responsible for all the Society’s direct services to children and families and its work with statutory services in Education, Health and Social Care. Prior to joining NDCS in May 2003, Gwen was head of Sensory Services in a Metropolitan Local Education Authority, working in close partnership with Health and Audiology services in the area.
Gwen is a member of the England Newborn Hearing Screening Programme’s implementation team, advising on educational issues and multi-disciplinary follow-up. She is also a member of the European Working Group on Childhood Hearing.
