Organisation Details

DELTA (Deaf Education through Listening & Talking):

  • National charity (England, Scotland, Wales & Northern Ireland) of young deaf adults, teachers and families of deaf children. It was founded in 1980 to develop and promote the Natural Aural Approach in the education of deaf children.
  • Provides a range of information for families from time of diagnosis, within the context of “informed choice”.
  • Organises summer schools, weekends, and information days for families of severe and profoundly deaf children on the Natural Aural Approach.
  • Provides information, advice & training to professionals working with deaf children and their families.
