March 13, 2004, the UNAPEDA (National Union of Associations of Parents of Auditive Defective Children) was born, resulting from the will to work together of parents and associations.
Respectful of the choices carried out by the families concerning the modes of schooling of their children and their modes of communication, we could note in the last 20 years the very important contribution of the services set up by our associations with regard to:
- the information and training of the parents,
- the answers in school term of accompaniment primarily through the SSEFIS, (Service of Support for Family Education and School Integration),
- the answers in term of accompaniment university (poles of support for the integration of the students),
- the answers in employment, vocational training and in the social life in general.
We wish that the whole of these services to the attention of the parents, the children, the deaf adults, be consolidated, continue and develop.
The UNAPEDA works on several building sites (Interfaces of communications, school accompaniment, national formations parents, days, insurances prostheses, European meeting, telephone reception, etc.
From the 27 to August 31, 2005, the UNAPEDA organizes its 1st Summer schools, articulated around the new French law on the chance and equal rights, the participation and the citizenship of the handicapped people.
