ONICI is an Independent Information centre on Cochlear Implants, where you can find all up-to-date information on cochlear implants (at the moment only in the Dutch language). The information is available on the website.
On this website you can find information on how a cochlear implant works, on four cochlear implant systems (Advanced Bionics, Cochlear, Med-el and MXM); on cochlear implant centres in Belgium and the Netherlands and on publications, upcoming meetings or hot topics (early implantation, bilateral implantation, meningitis and cochlear implants, …). Also information brochures of these four cochlear implant systems can be ordered by ONICI (free of charge).
Twice a year ONICI sends out a (digital) newsletter (also free of charge).
We are also involved in some research projects (especially on rehabilitation and education of cochlear implanted children) and maximum two times a year, we organise a meeting or workshop for parents and professionals.
