Organisation Details

The Finnish Association of Speech and Language Research works to advance research and to promote the employment of practical applications in the realms of speech, language, voice, and communication. While most current members of the Association are speech therapists, the Association specifically strives to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration by bringing together scientists and practitioners working, e.g., within speech and language sciences, medicine, education, psychology and related fields. To this end, the Association organizes scientific conferences and publishes a peer-reviewed quarterly journal Puhe ja kieli (Speech and Language), for which scientific manuscripts written in Finnish, Swedish and also in English are welcomed.

For further information in Finnish, please visit the website of the journal; for information in English regarding the journal, please contact the editor-in-chief, Anna-Maija Korpijaakko-Huuhka anna-maija.korpijaakko-huuhka@helsinki.fi or the sub-editor Jutta Paloheimo toimitus@puhejakieli.fi.

As a member of the International Association of Logopedics and Phoniatrics (IALP), the Association also collaborates with other international organizations devoted to speech and language research.
